Will my employer find out about my bankruptcy?


A. Unless you owe a debt to your employer or do a Chapter 13 where a wage assignment is ordered to make your monthly Chapter 13 payments, your employer is not notified of your bankruptcy by the Bankruptcy Court. However, it is possible that your employer may find out about your bankruptcy in some other way (for example, a call from one of your creditors or by checking your credit bureau file).
